Council Minutes of 01-25-2022 <br />Councilman Limpert voted yes with comment to address Ms. Scofield, stating he looks forward <br />to working with her and noted there were observations about her strengths in areas that <br />traditional Safety Directors have done in the past, and looks forward to her attacking issues <br />aggressively, and looks forward to working with her in the future. <br />Councilman Kelly voted no with comment stating that he would like to see someone from fire <br />service or police service, who has done the jobcome up through the ranks and knows better <br />what is going on in the departments, and what is going on with each individual employee, what <br />they are going through or what they've been through. Councilman Kelly continued that he feels <br />Ms. Scofield did well in the interview and would like to have seen her for a different director's <br />position within the City, and noted that the nomination would pass and he hopes they can work <br />well together. <br />Councilwoman Williamson voted no with comment stating she echoes the same concerns as <br />Councilman Kelly, but feels Ms. Scofield will bring forward some good aspects to the position, <br />and looks forward to working with her. <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist moved to approve the appointment of Kevin Kearney to the Director of <br />Service position. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call <br />Yes: Gilchrist, Hemann, Williamson, Kelly, Limpert, Scarl. Glassburn <br />No. <br />Motion carried. Kevin Kearny was appointed as the Director of Service by a vote of 7-0. <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist moved to approve the appointment of Lisa Kidd to the Director of <br />Human Resources position. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed <br />7-0 <br />Roll Call <br />Yes'. Gilchrist, Hemann, Scarl, Williamson, Glassburn, Limpert, Kelly <br />No <br />Motion carried. Lisa Kidd was appointed as the Director of Human Resources by a vote of 7-0. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before Council, <br />President Brossard adjourned the Special Council meeting at approximately 9:09 p.m. <br />`- <br />Beatrice Taylor, Clerk of '�uncil Loui Brossard, President of Council <br />
