VII LAGE OF NEWBURGH HEIGHTS
POLICE DEPARTMENT
3801 Harvard Avenue, Newburgh Heights, Ohio 44105
Office_ (216) 641-2117 / Fax (216) 641-2713 (;}
Dispatch (nonemergency). (216) 641-5545 y'..
June 21, 2022
To whom it may concern'
In June 2019 the Newburgh Heights Police Department transitioned its dispatch
operations to the Chagrin Valley Dispatch in Brecksville. As you know such a change
can bring about fears and worries. However, I can attest this was a great move for us
and the switchover went far easier than expected, it has been running exceptionally well
ever since.
Since joining CVD we have encountered high intensity and critical calls for service to
name a fewan active shooter situation.. major crashes, and multi -agency response
incidents to include a massive fire of several houses and a response by a dozen fire
departments and four police agencies. Having been directly involved in several of these
I was very pleased with the performance by the dispatchers. I have even authored
letters of commendation to dispatchers for outstanding performances.
On an administrative note, if there is an issue with the manner a call is handled, the
administration at CVD is immediately addressing this and communicating the outcome
to me. If I seek recordings of radio traffic or 9-1-1 calls. I get them quickly. If I send an
email about a question or concern it is addressed immediately even after hours. This is
truly good service.
In sum and without reservation, I give a strong and favorable recommendation of the
Chagrin Valley Dispatch.
If I can provide any additional information, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Sincerely,
John T. Majoy
Chief of Police
