In 2017, we elected to <br />merge into one Pr is Safcty Answering Point (PS1P) with University Heights. Cleveland <br />Heights. Shaker Heights and Richmond Heights. Roth the police and Fire Departments from <br />each community decided it was in the hest interest to Consulate resources and to 11ive us the <br />opportunity to work together more regionally. <br />We receive a superior dispatch service than echat we had. We never had the capability to use a <br />Computer Added Dispatch (CAD) programs in our old dispatch center_ In joining CVD, we now <br />have that capability and each apparatus is equipped with an (Pad. fhc CAD assists with <br />addresses of the emergencies. provides up to date emergency infurrnation and mapping. the Fire <br />Departments were ahle to increase on automatic aid and mutual response amongst each other - <br />This has improved the services that we can provide to our residents_ CVD is in the process now <br />of switching the CAD provider to Motorola. which will enhance CVD and provide more <br />information to the first responders. <br />Nick IM icco and his stall have ahvass worked with us in umef% instinct to develop our plans to <br />meet our needs and resolve any issues that have come up.
