JILROM <br />Ohio R-1 <br />Q v� <br />�.� ._ <br />June 20, 2022 <br />To Whom II Mac Concern: <br />THE (ITI OF SOLON <br />10LUx I IHF Rr 14 LE <br />It is my understanding that the West Shore Safetc-1gencies are considering >witching to Chagrin <br />Vallee Dispatch (CVD) for dispatching. I have been a user' of CVD since it started, first as an <br />Assistant Chief at Chagrin Palls Fire Department and more recently as Fire Chief at Salon Fire - <br />Rescue. <br />Although t had been in charge of the 5wlon Pire Dispatch Center for more than 20 tears before the <br />transition to CVD, I feel the collaboration with CVD was not onh the rieht move. but added a Int <br />of value to our operations. Joining C'.VD alloweJ us lu lake e giant step forward with technology, <br />and we found value in .sharing throe costs with other communities rather than each agency mn ing <br />to purchase them separately. <br />It also improved interoperabilitc for its, allowing us to know the status of our mutual aid partners <br />and to seamlessh dispatch multiple agencies to a single incident from one dispatch center. phis In <br />turn helped reduce response times of police, Fire and I'.MS to the same incident. <br />Fhe professionalism of the dispatch personnel is second to none. Their training program is <br />excellent. the} have dispatchers who tail% care about doing a good Ioh. and they have supervisors <br />who hold them to a standard. On the rare occasion when there is a need to review recordings, they <br />are promptly provided to us and their administrative staff is eery responsiec. They always follow <br />up with me m inform me as to what corrective action was taken_ <br />As }ou make tour decision. I can tell cuu that our experience in working with \ick Dicicco and <br />all the staff at CVD has been wonderful. It is alwacs vera collaborative and customer service <br />oriented.
