4><` SHAKER HEIGHTS June 21, 2022 Bay Village Police Department Fairview Park Police Department Lakewood police Department North Olmsted Police Department North Ridgeville Police Department Rocky River Police Department Westlake Police Department Westcom Comm a.cahon Ccn ret To Whom it May Concern: In November 2017, the Shaker Heights Police Department uxusitinned its dispatch operations to the Heights Hillcrest Communications Center (now a member of Chagrin Valley Dispatch - CVD). Prior to the transition, there were many concerns not the least of wluch were maintaining lustoncally excellent levels of service and ensuring dispatchers becoming re-employed with the new dispatch center. "this transition did not come without growing pains; most of which were experienced within the first year of operation. Although, we knew these challenges were to be expected wish a transfer of operations of this nature. Importantly, I can honestly state that the administration of the heights Hillcrest Center never "blinked" during that first year and consistently worked hand in hand with our Department to resolve the previously mentioned issues. As we dose one fifth year of dispatch operations with CVD (formerly the Heights ThIlerest Commmricauces Center), I can attest that this transition was the right move for us both operadonady and financially. From the financial perspective, our City has saved a significant amount of operational and capital funding by moving to a regional dispatch center. Operationally, our levels of service to our community remain excellent which speaks, in part, to the efforts of the personnel with CVD- On an admimstrame tote, personnel with CVD are extremely efficient at providing recordings of radio traffic or 911 calls or other pubLc records which may be requested by various entities. In dosing and without resetvation, I highly recommend your law enforcement and fire agencies strongly consider d amisoning your dispatch services to CVD. If your mission is excellent levels of service to your community and professional dispatching services, transitioning to CVD is the answer.
