(316) 381 2016 <br />I am writing you in support ofjoming Chagrin Valley Dispatch C VU_ I❑ 3017, we elected to <br />merge into one Public Safety \nswering Point (PSAP) with University I IeighLS. Cleveland <br />Heights, Shaker Ileights and Richmond Heights. Both the Police and fire Departments from <br />each community decided it was in the best interest to consulate resources and to hive us the <br />opportunity to work together more regionally. <br />We receive a superior dispatch service than what we had. We never had the capability to use a <br />Computer Added Dispatch (( AI)) programs in our old dispatch center. In joining CVD, we now <br />have that capability and each apparatus is equipped with an Wad. the CAD assists with <br />addresses of the emergencies, provides up to date emergency intbnnation and mapping- The Fire <br />Departments were able to increase on automatic aid and mutual response amongst each other. <br />This has improved the services that we can provide to our residents. CVD is in the process now <br />of switching the CAD provider to Motorola, which will enhance CVD and provide more <br />information to the first responders. <br />Nick DiCicco and his staff have alwacs worked with its in timcic manner to develop our plans to <br />meet our needs and resolve any issues that have come up.
