once W am wym
Village of Moreland Hills Daniel Fritz
4350 S.O.M. Center Road • Moreland Hills. Ohio 44022 Phone: 440-248-1188 • Fax: 440-498-9588
E-mail: villagehal@morelandhills com
June 20, 2022
To Whom It May Concern,
It has come to my attention that some or all of the Westshore agencies are considering a
consolidated move to the Chagrin Valley Dispatch Center. As a Mayor and professional firefighter,
I feel that I can offer a unique perspective on this potentiality.
As Mayor, I know first hand how our residents depend upon all 911 calls being handled
professionally and expeditiously. It seems that nearly every month I'm made aware of a new
enhancement at one of the facilities or an award attained by one of our top-quality dispatchers.
Both _'Dick DiCicco, in his capacity as Director, and Lisa Davet in her capacity as Assistant
Director, show a true passion for outstanding customer service and attention to detail. I simply
cannot imagine any other dispatch center handling the crucial responsibility of answering and
routing 911 calls placed by Moreland Hills residents.
As Assistant Chief of the Orange Village Fire Department, I have a great appreciation for the
responsibilities undertaken by our dispatchers. I work with them on a daily basis and I continue to
be incredibly impressed with their efficiency, compassion and love for thejob. Any firefighter will
tell you that the dispatcher helps to fight the fire and plays a crucial role in the resuscitation efforts
during cardiac arrest. Our EMD certified dispatchers perform in a manner that is representative of
the awards and accolades that they receive. Perhaps one of the greatest indicators of success is
found with the camaraderie and professionalism shared by this group. There are few greater
examples of a healthy work environment than engaged employees who love their job and take
pride in the name of the agency they represent.
I will make myself available for a phone call or email if there is any additional information I can
share regarding this outstanding agency. 1 offer my enthusiastic endorsement with ,your potential
decision rejoin the Chagrin Valley Dispatch Cerner.
Regards,
-_ it

Daniel Fritz., Mayor
Village of Moreland Hills
