WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that it is the policy of llte City of North Olmsted to promote health_ salty and general wcl fare of its residents and growth and dcyclopment of business and industry within the CitN.. and to advance and pursue such policy through the formation of a community improvement corporation as such agency: and WHEREAS, the City s ConvnunitN Improvement Corporation shall be for the purpose of advancing, encouraging, and promoting the industrial- economic, commercial and civic development of the City of North Olmsted: and WHEREAS, the North Olmsted City Council desires to create a Community Improvement Corporation, and thereafter designate such nonprofit entity as its agent for industrial. commercial, distribution, and research dcvelopmenl. and therefore, in accordance with the provision ofC'hapler 1724 ofthe Ohio Revised Cock, the City desires to authorize the formation of same; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE C'OUNC'IL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO: SECTION I: the Cm s Community Improvement Corporation shall be Rx the purposes of economic development and all other related applicable purposes set Birth in Chapter 17_'4 of the Ohio Revised Code. for the purposes of implementation of the Citys most recent Master plan and any update thereto. for other real estate and community development purposes, including but not limited to the sale of property in accordance �yith statutory provisions that exempt public bidding upon prior approval of this Council. SECTION 2: flu ( ily C'onununit) Improvement C'orporation's powers shall include. but not necessarih be limited to, those powers set forth in Ohio Revised Code Section 1724.02. and shall operate within the territorial boundaries of the City of North Olmsted. SECTION 3: "Ibe City Community Improvement Corporation shall be governed by a Board of Directors having five members. composed as tallows: 1. The Mavw 2. The Chairperson of the finance Committee 3. 1 he finance Director 4. One (I ) Member appointed by the Mayor 5. One (l) member appointed by the ]'resident of Council, subject to the approval of City Council, The appointee shall he a member of the general public not currently serving in any elected office within the Cit' of North Olmsted. The Mayor and President of Councils appointed member to the City Community Improvement Corporation shall serve for a period of three (3) rears, and thercaller each subsequent appointed
