MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 6, 2022 <br />Present. Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist.. Glassburn, Hemarm <br />Kelly, Limpert and Scarl. <br />Also Present Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance <br />Copfer, H. R. Director. Economic Director. Safety Director, Service Director, <br />Recreation Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor, Clerk of Council and guests. <br />Absent: Council Member Williamson <br />Council President Brossard called the meeting to order at 8:02 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of the Special Council Meeting of January 25th, the Council <br />Meetings of February 15th and March 1st. the Special Council Meeting of March 8th, the <br />Council Meeting of March 15th, the Special Council Meetings of July 5th, July 7th and July 11th, <br />and the Council Meeting of August 16th of 2022 were approved as written. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />• A presentation of appreciation initiated by Captain Shlapack of the North Olmsted Fire <br />Department was given to congratulate Lt. Adam Hudak, Fireman Keith Rush, Fireman <br />Timothy Fleshman. Police Officer Shane Wyatt, Police Officer Oliver Wolcott, and <br />Dispatcher Cassidy O'Boyle for their part in saving Mr. Thomas Nisius on the night of <br />January 2, 2022. <br />• Police Officer Scullin and Police Officer Butcher were recognized by Chief Wagner and <br />presented with the Medal of Valor for their actions during an interaction with a violent <br />shoplifter at Walmart. The Mayor thanked all first responders for keeping the residents of <br />North Olmsted safe <br />• On Sunday, September 11" the North Olmsted Safety Forces will have a memorial <br />service for the fire fighters, police officers, EMS and citizens who died in the terrorist <br />attacks on September 11. 2001. The memorial will be held at Fire Station I at 9.30 a.m. <br />• September is National Preparedness Month and this year's theme is 'A Lasting Legacy. <br />The Life You've Built is Worth Protecting. Prepare for Disasters by Creating a Lasting <br />Legacy for your Family." <br />• "Pumpkinville in the Valley" to be held from 11 a . to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, September 25 <br />at the Frostville Museum. <br />• The final West Side Flea of the season will be held from 9 a . to 3 p.m. Saturday, <br />September 17 at North Olmsted Community Park, over 100 vendors will be on hand. <br />
