Council Minutes of 09-06-2022 <br />The North Olmsted Junior Women's Club will celebrate 80 years of Service to our <br />community next year in 2023. They will be hosting their annual Open House at 7.30 <br />p.m. Thursday, October 13th. <br />The North Olmsted United Church of Christ will host their 100th Anniversary Celebration <br />at the Church on Sunday, October 16. The Church is the city's oldest house of worship. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• Offered an informative report with regard to the resident who was reported to the City for <br />his political signs and banners, and was subsequently on a local news station regarding <br />the situation. Director Gareau noted the Administration received a letter from a resident <br />reporting her concerns about the signs which Director Gareau answered publicly to <br />ensure the response is clear with regard to the regulations on political signs, flags and <br />freedom of speech. <br />• Director Gareau added the City does not have a regulation on flags and noted if it is <br />Council and/or the Administration's desire to enhance the flag definition, it is certainly <br />something that can be addressed. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• The Finance staff met with the Mayor and her staff to collaboratively map out a timeline <br />for the 2023 budget process and encouraged council members to meet with the Mayor <br />to discuss high priority items. <br />• The 2021 Audit was released by the AOS on August 25th. <br />• The 2021 PAFR was submitted to GFOA (Government Finance Officers Association) <br />and was published on the website and other social media methods. Director Copfer <br />thanked Keith Sperling and Rick Haase who assisted in the development of the new <br />look. <br />• The May and June month end summary and detail reports were sent the afternoon of <br />September 6th to the Administration, Council and others, and further noted the quarterly <br />review will be sent out shortly. <br />Councilman Limpert, Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee did not <br />have a report but moved to remove Ordinance 2022-68 from the Agenda. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Glassburn and passed 6-0. <br />Roll Calf <br />Yes: Limpert, Glassburn, Gilchrist, Scan, Kelly, Hemann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Motion to Remove Ordinance 2022-68 from the Agenda passes 6-0. <br />Councilman Limpert moved to Reassign Ordinance 2022-68 to Building. Zoning and <br />Development Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Glassburn and passed 6-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Limpert, Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly. Gilchrist, Scarl <br />No: None <br />Motion carried.
