Council Minutes of 09-06-2022 <br />Copfer, Human Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development <br />Upton, Safety Director Scofield, Service Director Kearney, Recreation and Public Engagement <br />Director Pinchek and Special Assistant to the Mayor. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2022-75 a Second Resolution of City Council adopting the <br />Mayor's proposal for new program initiatives and capital improvements made possible <br />by funds received by the City of North Olmsted from the American Rescue Plan Act of <br />2021, and declaring an emergency. <br />• After a general presentation, Council is awaiting more information on speed calming and <br />Council and Caucus room modernizations. The Legislation was held in Committee by a <br />vote of 2-0 and the meeting concluded at 7:50 p.m. <br />Councilman Kelly, Chairman of the Streets and Transportation Committee had no report but <br />commented that W. 231" Street was completed and is very smooth and noted the job was well <br />done. <br />None. <br />John Cotofan <br />25914 Tallwood Drive <br />Speaking on behalf of Jeff Peepers and the North Olmsted Community Council. Wanted to <br />send appreciation to the City, Council and the Administration for their support in creating a <br />successful Homecoming. Mr. Cotofan recognized several people for their contributions. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2022-64 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. An Ordinance <br />authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit proposals for excess insurance coverage <br />for the City Health Care & Hospitalization Plans for 2023, and further authorizing the Mayor., <br />subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for said insurance coverage. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert <br />and passed 6-0. <br />Roll Call. <br />Yes'. Glassburn, Limpert, Scarl, Hemann, Kelly, Gilchrist <br />No None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2022-64 adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2022-65 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Safety to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O. Q.) from <br />qualified individuals to provide Building Official and Master Plans Examiner Services to the City, <br />and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a <br />contract with the individual or firm selected in the S.O.Q. process, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption.
