Council Minutes of 09-06-2022 <br />165 of the Ohio Revised Code to pay costs of a "project" as defined in Section 165.01 of the <br />Ohio Revised Code, for the purpose of creating or preserving jobs and employment <br />opportunities and improving the economic welfare of the City and its residents and the State of <br />Ohio; providing for the pledge for that purpose of certain nontax revenues, establishing certain <br />funds of the City, and approving related documents. <br />Ordinance 2022-79 introduced by Mayor Jones and Councilmembers Hemann, Scarl and <br />Gilchrist and placed on first reading. An Ordinance Amending Section 941.01 entitled <br />"Classifications Established" of Chapter 941 of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code <br />entitled "Refuse Collection." <br />Resolution 2022-80 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Law, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to enter into an <br />agreement with the Law Firm of Squire Patton Boggs to provide Professional Legal Services for <br />Community and Economic Development and for the creation and modification of Tax Increment <br />Financing ("TIF") Incentive Districts, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2022-81 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Law, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to enter into an <br />agreement with Attorney Michael P. Maloney to serve as Special Counsel in matters related to a <br />law enforcement use of deadly force investigation, and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Council President Brossard asked Council to consider the Public Hearing scheduled for <br />September 13, 2022 at 7.00 p.m. when scheduling committee meetings. <br />Councilman Limpert scheduled a Building, Zoning and Development Committee meeting for <br />Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 7:05 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2022-68, Ordinance 2022-71, <br />Ordinance 2022-72 and Ordinance 2022-73 and asked that the Mayor, Economic Development <br />Director or designee be present. <br />Councilman Scarl, Chairman of the Environmental Control Committee scheduled a meeting for <br />Tuesday. September 13, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2022-79 and asked that the <br />Mayor or her designee be present. <br />Councilman Glassburn, Chairman of the Finance Committee scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, <br />September 13, 2022 at 7.40 p.mto discuss Resolutions 2022-80 and 2022-81 and asked that a <br />representative from Law and the Economic Development Director be present. Councilman <br />Limpert, Vice Chair of the Finance Committee also added Ordinance 2022-77 and Ordinance <br />2022-78 to the schedule, and asked the Mayor or designee be present. <br />Council President Brossard scheduled a Special Council Meeting for Tuesday. September 13, <br />2022, at 8:00 p.m. to consider legislation on second and third reading. <br />Councilman Kelly moved to excuse the absence of Councilwoman Williamson.
