Special Council Minutes of 03-29-2022 <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes'. Glassburn, Limpert, Williamson, Kelly, Gilchrist <br />No Hemann <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert <br />and passed 5-1. <br />Roll Call <br />Yes: Glassburn, Limpert, Williamson, Kelly, Gilchrist <br />No: Hemann <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2022-17 adopted 5-1. <br />Mr. Glassburn voted yes with comment noting he is very pleased that the Mayor brought forth a <br />balanced budget with surplus and one is being returned by Council in the same fashion, and is <br />thankful for Council's willingness to add on programs regarding street lighting, bulk purchasing <br />and many other initiatives and recommended a favorable vote. <br />Mr. Limpert voted yes with comment to thank the Administration for proposing a good budget in <br />the first round and felt it was really good collaboration across Council, and wanted to ensure <br />that as efforts are being made to save money that Council is funding departments effectively to <br />get the most value for those residents and voted yes. <br />Council President Brossard also thanked the Mayor on accomplishing a nice budget. <br />Resolution 2022-24 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution <br />authorizing the Mayor to purchase two (2) new Toro Greensmaster Triflex 3300 Hydraulic <br />Mowers from Jerry Pate Turf & Irrigation at a cost of $105,332.82 through the State Purchase <br />Program, and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all contract documents, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilwoman Hemann moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed 6-0. <br />Roll Call. <br />Yes: Hemann, Limpert, Kelly, Glassburn, Gilchrist, Williamson <br />No. None <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilwoman Hemann moved for adoption. Resolution 2022-24 adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2022-25 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A resolution <br />authorizing the Mayor to advertise for bids for rock salt for roadway ice and snow removal for <br />use by the city of North Olmsted, as detailed in specifications on file and further authorizing the <br />Mayor, after approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best <br />bidder, and declaring an emergency. <br />
