MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 4, 2022 <br />Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert. Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present. Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau, H. R. Director, Service <br />Director, Recreation Director, Special, Clerk of Council and guests. <br />Council President Brossard called the meeting to order at 8:01 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road. North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The Public Hearing and Council Meeting Minutes of September 13, 2022 were approved as <br />written <br />The following legislation is considered for suspension of the rules this evening: <br />On second reading Resolution 2022-75 and Ordinances 2022-83 and 84, and on first reading <br />Resolution 2022-91. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />• The City launched the 'Safe and Healthy Homes' Home Repair program on September <br />27'h, in conjunction with CHN Housing Partners (the Cleveland Housing Network. Under <br />the program, eligible homeowners can qualify for up to $15,000 in health, safety and <br />accessibility repairs to their home. Eligible homes must be single-family, owner - <br />occupied and located within the city limits of North Olmsted. Residents can go to our <br />website to apply for the program, or call CHN Housing Partners at 855.764.5626. <br />• The "Fix Our Fronts" Storefront Renovation Grant program has begun. Residents can <br />also visit our City website for program eligibility and requirements. <br />• Mayor Jones swore in the new, part-time, School Resource Officer, Joann Felton last <br />week, who was named D.A.RL 'Officer of the Year' in the nation in 2018. <br />• Our police department will do a "Trunk or Treat' event from 1-3 p.m. Saturday.. October <br />22 in the North Olmsted High School parking lot. <br />• 'Trek at the Rec" will take place from 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 28" at the North Olmsted <br />Fee Center at 26000 Lorain Road. Cost for this event is $10 per car. Each car will <br />receive a pumpkin at the end of the ride while supplies last. You can register online on <br />
