Council Minutes of 11-01-2022 <br />• Election Day is next Tuesday, November 8" The Mayor encouraged everyone to <br />exercise the right to vote. <br />• Safety forces continue to address speeding issues throughout the City, with the Safety <br />Director putting together a comprehensive traffic safety plan. <br />• The Mayor swore in North Olmsted's newest police officer this afternoon, Officer <br />Alexander Pickens and wished him congratulations. <br />• The North Olmsted Senior Center will host its annual fund-raiser, the International Food <br />Cook -Off Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 1130 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Springvale <br />Ballroom. <br />• The Senior Center will also host a "Friencisgiving Luncheon" in preparation for the <br />Thanksgiving holiday on Wednesday.. November 16, 2022. A traditional Thanksgiving <br />meal will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the North Olmsted Community Cabin. <br />The meal is sponsored by O'Neill Healthcare. <br />• The City and the School District are joining forces to commemorate our local veterans on <br />Veteran's Day, Friday, November 11, 2022, at the North Olmsted High School <br />Performing Arts Center. The celebration is hosted by the North Olmsted VFW Post <br />7647. <br />• A successful "Trek at the Rec' was held on Friday. October 28'" at the Rec Center. The <br />Mayor thanked the Recreation Department staff for doing such a great job, along with <br />the members of our North Olmsted Arts Commission. <br />• On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, Maple Intermediate School 's PTA will host a mobile <br />produce pantry from 4:30-6.30 p. m., in collaboration with the Greater Cleveland Food <br />Bank. The Maple PTA will provide free, fresh produce to the North Olmsted community <br />at Maple Intermediate School at 24101 Maple Ridge Road. <br />• The Mayor will attend a meeting on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the Aerozone <br />Alliance to review the current conditions assessment that the County Planning <br />Commission will be presenting to the member cities. The analysis focuses on four key <br />areas, Transportation and Infrastructure, Land Use and Zoning, Economic Development <br />and Work Force and will continue to keep Council updated. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• No Report. <br />Director of Finance Copfer. <br />• No Report. <br />Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee. <br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 7:01 <br />p.m. Present were Committee Members Williamson, Kelly and Glassburn and Council Members <br />Hemann, Limpert, Gilchrist and Scarl, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director <br />Copfer, Human Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development <br />Upton, Safety Director Scofield. Service Director Kearney, Special Assistant to the Mayor <br />Massarolo and guests. <br />• Discussed Liquor Permit #22625050050 Doomash Essentials LLC, DBA Dashmart, <br />West Unit. located at 23100 Lorain Road, North Olmsted OH 44070. there were no <br />concerns from the Police Department and the liquor permit was not objected to by a vote <br />of 3-0 and Committee Meeting concluded at 7.32 p.m. <br />
