MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />DECEMBER 6, 2022 <br />Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert, Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance <br />Copfer, H. R. Director, Safety Director, Service Director. Recreation Director, <br />Special Assistant to the Mayor, Clerk of Council and guests. <br />Absent None <br />Council President Brossard called the meeting to order at 8.01 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of November 29, 2022 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On second reading <br />Ordinance 2022-121. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />• Mayor Jones informed all of Council of former Mayor Boyle's passing, adding that she <br />will advise of any further details as they become available. <br />• December is National Impaired Driving Month, so far in 2022 there have been 10,197 <br />OVI related crashes in Ohio. The Mayor urged everyone to wear their seatbelts. <br />• There will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 1-7 p.m. on December 7, 2022 at <br />the North Olmsted Senior Center. <br />• December 7, 2022 was National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day; 81 years ago on that <br />date, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Hawaii. <br />• The Mayor noted the Oxcart Food Pantry is in need of many things this holiday season <br />and developed a December Donation Wish List which includes both donations of food <br />items as well as toiletry and household items, the list is on the city website.
