MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JANUARY 3, 2023 <br />Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Limpert, Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Assistant Director of Law O'Malley and Director of <br />Finance Copfer, H. R. Director, Economic Director, Safety Director, Service <br />Director, Clerk of Council and guests. <br />Council President Brossard called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />There were no requests for suspension. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />• Mayor Jones wished everyone a Happy New Year and thanked all for their service and <br />looks forward to working together to move North Olmsted forward. <br />• The Mayor will deliver her first "State of the City Address' for residents at 7 p.m. <br />Thursday, March 9th at Springvale Ballroom. <br />• Mayor Jones will also present the Mayor's Economic Development Summit also at <br />Springvale on March 16, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. <br />• On January 7th, the North Olmsted Recreation Center will host the first Cleveland Police <br />Athletic League presents: Ladies Only Boxing Invitational at North Olmsted Recreation <br />Center on January 7, 2023. Tickets are only $10 via mobile app. More information is <br />available on the City website. <br />• The North Olmsted Police Department offers a free telephone reassurance program <br />consisting of daily phone calls for older residents. Participants will receive a call every <br />day asking if they are okay. If a response is not received after two attempts, an officer <br />will be dispatched to the home. Please call the non -emergency number of the North <br />Olmsted Police Department at (440) 777-3535 for more information and an application. <br />• The American Red Cross holds monthly blood drives in the North Olmsted Community <br />Cabin on the first Wednesday of every month from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. <br />• The Mobile Food Pantry is offered on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 4:30 p.m. <br />to 6:30 p.m. in collaboration with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, the Maple PTA will <br />
