Council Minutes of 01-17-2022 Councilwoman Gilchrist, Chairwoman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee: The Intra -Governmental Relations Committee met on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Committee Members Gilchrist, Hemann, Scarl and Council Members Williamson, Glassburn, Limpert, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Human Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development Upton, Safety Director Scofield, Service Director Kearney, Recreation and Public Engagement Director Pinchek, Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo and guests. • Discussed the re -appointment of Mr. Tom Dubowski to the Landmarks Commission for the Term of January, 2023 through December 31, 2026. The Committee and all of Council were appreciative that Mr. Dubowski wants to continue his service on the Landmarks Commission, and after brief comments, the re -appointment was approved by the Committee by a vote of 3-0 and the Committee Meeting concluded at 7:32 p.m. Ms. Gilchrist moved to re -appoint Mr. Tom Dubowski to the Landmarks Commission for the Term of January, 2023 through December 31, 2026. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann. Roll Call: Yes: Gilchrist, Hemann, Glassburn, Scarl, Williamson, Limpert No: None Motion carried. Tom Dubowski was re -appointed to the Landmarks Commission for the Term of January, 2023 through December 31, 2026 by a vote of 6-0. None. AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION Mr. Jeff Sturgeon 3092 W. 231" Street North Olmsted, OH 44070 Mr. Sturgeon thanked Council for the Interview but believes Council should consider amendments to the Charter with regard to the process of replacing and interviewing candidates for Council. He feels the position should be advertised on other medias other than the City website and he feels that when a deadline is established it should be adhered to. Ms. Hemann asked for the floor to advise Mr. Sturgeon that since he is the Chairperson of the Charter Review Committee that he could convene his Committee to make those recommendations. Director Gareau also asked to be recognized to note that should it be the will of Council to make any changes to the process, that his suggestion would be to bring legislation forward to ,� create a section of the code, that is part of our law, that will establish that process, being that a
