Council Minutes of 01-17-2022 <br />Road. Although it did note some of the short comings of the original report, it did provide merit <br />`. to providing the left turn lane. <br />Mr. Glassburn thanked the President and Mayor for allowing Mr. Upton to speak and getting <br />Council's questions answered on this matter. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2022-106 introduced by Mayor Jones and Council Members Williamson and Gilchrist <br />was given its second reading. An Ordinance Amending Chapter 557 of the General Offenses <br />Code of the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Sale of Cigarettes and Tobacco Products' in order <br />to update regulations for the sale to or possession of cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, or other <br />tobacco or alternate nicotine products by individuals under 21. <br />Ordinance 2023-1 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. An Ordinance to <br />make appropriations for Capital Improvements for the City of North Olmsted for the Year <br />ending December 31, 2023. <br />Ordinance 2023-2 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. An Ordinance <br />Amending and Re-establishing Chapter 171 of the Administrative Code entitled "Community <br />Reinvestment" in order to update the standards and protocols for awarding and managing tax <br />abatement, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2023-3 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Motorola to purchase fifty (50) Motorola <br />Watchguard Body Cameras, together with related technical assistance, for deployment by the <br />North Olmsted Division of Police, at a cost of $139,569.00 through the State Purchase Program <br />and funded through grant funds from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Resolution 2023-4 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution <br />dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the <br />Senior Transportation Connection of Cuyahoga County to provide for transportation services, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2023-6 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading and suspension <br />of the rules requested. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Economic and Community <br />Development to make application to the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation, for <br />Highway Safety Improvement Program Funding for the Clague and Maple Ridge Road <br />Intersection Improvement Project, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Glassburn moved <br />for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and formal Committee review. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilwoman Gilchrist and passed 6-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />` Yes: Glassburn, Gilchrist, Hemann, Limpert, Scarl, Williamson <br />
