CITY OF NORTH OLMS1 ED ORDINANCE NO. 2023 -7 BY: MayorJones AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS WITH THE DIRECTOR OF' THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR A "COUNTY -WIDE BRIDGE REPAIR PROJECT FOR STRUCTURES ON THE INTERSTATE SYSTEM WHICH INCLUDES GREAT NORTHERN BOULEVARD BRIDGE OVER IR -480 (CUY-22-0434) AND COLUMBIA ROAD BRIDGE. OVER 1R-480 (CUY-48(1-0446) IN THE CITY OF NORTH 01.14.STED", AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the State of Ohio. through the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOR). has determined the need Ibr County -wide bridge repair project and requires the preliminary cooperation, consent and signatory authority of the City of North Olmsted, referred to b} ODOT and hereinal)er known as the Local Public Agency (LPA). on legislative and other forms prescribed by ODOI', in order tor the LPA to participate with the Project described as follows: PID No.: 105909 County/Route/Section: CUY BH FY2023 Misc NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: Project Description County -wide bridge repair project for .structures on the interstate system which includes Great Northern Boulevard bridge over IR -480 (CUY-22-0434) and Columbia Road bridge over IR -480 (CUY-480-0446) in the City of North Olmsted. SECTION 2: Consenl Statement Being in the public interest, the I.PA gives consent to the Director of I ransportation to complete the above-described project as detailed in the LPA-ODOT-Let Agreement entered into between the parties, if applicable. SECTION 3: Cooperation S(alemenl The LPA shall cooperate with the Director of l7ansportation in the development and construction of the above-described project and shall enter into a LPA Federal ODOT Let Project Agreement. it applicable, as well as any other agreements necessary to develop and construct the Project. the LPA further agrees to pav I OO°o of the cost 01those features requested by the LPA which are determined by the State and Pcderal highway Administration to be unnecessary forthe Project.
