MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 21, 2023 <br />Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Limpert, Madden, <br />Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance Copfer, <br />H. R. Director, Economic Director, Safety Director, Clerk of Council and guests. <br />Absent: Council Member Hemann <br />Council President Brossard called the meeting to order at 8:03 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of March 7, 2023 and the Special Council Meeting Minutes of March 14, <br />2023 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On first reading Resolution 2023- <br />41. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />• The Mayor first swore -in new officers and promotions: <br />o Dan Barrett, promoted to Lieutenant <br />o Rory Kummer, promoted to Sergeant <br />o lames Kaminski, promoted to Sergeant <br />o Marcos Maldonado, sworn -in as new Police Officer <br />o Jose Martinez, Rebecca Tibbs and Patrick May, sworn -in as Auxiliary Police <br />Officers <br />o Chief Wagner recognized Officer Jeff Richards who facilitated a multi -state <br />investigation of a 30 -year-old male who exploited an eight-year-old child. <br />The Mayor stated she sent two letters to Congressman Max Miller requesting funding <br />for two large scale projects within the City of North Olmsted as a part of fiscal year 2024 <br />project funding. Requesting $2 Million Dollars for the Claque Road sanitary force main <br />replacement project and $1.4 Million Dollars for the rehabilitation of the City's Historic <br />Old Town Hall building. <br />
