MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MARCH 21, 2023 Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Limpert, Madden, Scarl and Williamson. Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance Copfer, H. R. Director, Economic Director, Safety Director, Clerk of Council and guests. Absent: Council Member Hemann Council President Brossard called the meeting to order at 8:03 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council Meeting Minutes of March 7, 2023 and the Special Council Meeting Minutes of March 14, 2023 were approved as written. The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On first reading Resolution 2023- 41. REPORTS Mayor Jones: • The Mayor first swore -in new officers and promotions: o Dan Barrett, promoted to Lieutenant o Rory Kummer, promoted to Sergeant o lames Kaminski, promoted to Sergeant o Marcos Maldonado, sworn -in as new Police Officer o Jose Martinez, Rebecca Tibbs and Patrick May, sworn -in as Auxiliary Police Officers o Chief Wagner recognized Officer Jeff Richards who facilitated a multi -state investigation of a 30 -year-old male who exploited an eight-year-old child. The Mayor stated she sent two letters to Congressman Max Miller requesting funding for two large scale projects within the City of North Olmsted as a part of fiscal year 2024 project funding. Requesting $2 Million Dollars for the Claque Road sanitary force main replacement project and $1.4 Million Dollars for the rehabilitation of the City's Historic Old Town Hall building.
