Council Minutes of 04-04-2023 <br />Derrick Robinson <br />Lyndhurst, OH <br />Mr. Robinson came to Council to say that Sacred Waters/Kava has helped him stop drinking alcohol. He <br />said it is like a family at Sacred Waters and wanted to advocate for Sacred Waters. He introduced his <br />Uncle to Kava and brings his girlfriend and daughter to Sacred Waters. <br />Jennifer Kovach <br />31067 Lorain Road <br />North Olmsted, OH <br />Ms. Kovach is addressing Council to also advocate for Sacred Waters, stating it is great for the <br />community to have an alternative to a bar, and this place is great place to go to relax, listen to music or <br />poetry. She loves drinking the Kava and Kratom and believes the staff does a really great job educating <br />patrons with the effects of the drinks. <br />Laura Bendernagle <br />23044 MacBeth <br />Ms. Bendernagle is in support of Sacred Waters, noting it is a nice, mellow place to go. It is very easy- <br />going and accepting. Noting if she had the choice of having a Kava bar or a regular bar in her <br />community, she would definitely vote fora Kava bar. <br />Dana McGinty <br />6114 Gareau Drive <br />North Olmsted, OH <br />Ms. McGinty is the Manager at Sacred Waters and has known the owner for ten years and worked for <br />him at Best Damn Tacos. She came to let Council know the difference between working in an alcoholic <br />environment and a non-alcoholic environment is great, especially at Sacred Waters, where they serve <br />drinks that are healthy. Noting she looks forward to going to work, not having to deal with intoxicated <br />individuals, and owes her personal growth and sobriety to David. <br />Michelle Layton <br />Walton Hills, OH <br />Ms. Layton wanted to address Council to advocate for Sacred Waters, noting that when one walks into <br />Sacred Waters, there is so much love and gratitude, greater than anything ever felt before. When her <br />husband first got sober they were confined to their home because they tried to stay away from places <br />that served alcohol and Sacred Waters is a great to be and the environment is very special. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2023-34 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to solicit Statements of <br />Qualifications (S.O.Q.) pursuant to the Request for Qualification (R.F.Q.) process from qualified <br />firms to conduct strategic planning services to fulfill the Charter -Mandated Ten (30) year Master <br />Plan Review requirement for the City of North Olmsted, and further authorizing the Mayor, <br />
