Public Hearing Minutes of 04-04-2023
Councilman Limpert asked the Law Director, with regard to this legislation's restrictions
versus other zoning items, if North Olmsted has a mix of stipulations that are lot line
focused. Director Gareau noted that North Olmsted uses them in other areas, but could
not recall if they were currently in the zoning code. Stating it is not unlawful to do so,
that the lines can be drawn as the City sees fit, from parcel line to parcel line or building
to building. Further stating that North Olmsted does not have many of them, smoke
shops being the most common, noting that one would see this with adult entertainment
and sex oriented businesses. Councilman Limpert noted he asked the question as he
recalls doing so in cases involving residential animals, and how close they can be to
other residents, and animal businesses being based on the physical structure.
Councilman Limpert thanked Mr. Burns for bringing these concerns to Council's
attention on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce.
With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before
Council, President Brossard adjourned the Public Hearing at approximately 7:52 p.m.
Beatrice Taylor, Cler f Council Lou .
