Public Hearing Minutes of 05-23-2023 <br />The Economic and Community Development Director was asked to provide a brief <br />summary: <br />Director Upton stated the legislation set forth in Ordinances 2023-52, 2023-53 and <br />2023-54 follow the procedures set forth in the City's Zoning Code with respect to how <br />we define where uses may be permitted, and establish conditions by which uses are <br />granted. The particular substances of these ordinances is relative to unregulated <br />psychoactive substances which is phrase narrow enough to be defined but broad <br />enough to be applied. The use districts are primarily B-1 and B-2 due to their <br />characteristics as defined in the zoning code. Director Upton welcomed any questions <br />or noted the Ordinances can be discussed further in Committee, should that be <br />Council's desire. <br />Council President Brossard stated that Council is comfortable discussing more at length <br />in the Building, Zoning and Development Committee scheduled directly thereafter. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved to excuse the absence of Councilman Glassburn. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Williamson, Hemann, Limpert, Madden, Gilchrist, Scarl <br />No: None <br />Motion carried.
