—� CITY at NORTH OLMSTED <br />Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones <br />Regulations maybe imposed for each of such districts, designating the kinds or classes of trades, <br />industries, residences, or other purposes for which buildings or other structures or premises maybe <br />permitted to be erected, altered, or used subject to special regulations Y' <br />In furtherance of the preservation of the Health, Safety and General Welfare of the Citizens of the <br />City of North Olmsted, the Office of the Department of Economic and Community Development, <br />which administers the North Olmsted Zoning Code, in coordination with the Office of the Director of <br />Public Safety, has proposed the following legislation to forestall the proliferation of uses that would <br />be injurious to the City: <br />2023-52 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1118.13 OF THE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING CODE OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ENTITLED, "OFFICES AND SERVICES", IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH <br />SUBSECTION (F) TO LIMIT THE LOCATION OF SPECIFIED USES; <br />2023-53 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE DEFINITION OF "UNREGULATED PSYCHOACTIVE <br />SUBSTANCES" IN SECTION 1115.12 OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING CODE OF THE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ENTITLED, "DEFINITIONS U -V,", FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />ADDING DEFINITIONS FOR USES ASSOCIATED WITH THE SALE AND CONSUMPTION OF SAME ON <br />BUSINESS PREMISES; <br />2023-54 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1139.03 OF THE NORTH OLMSTED ZONING CODE <br />ENTITLED "SCHEDULE OF USES" TO CONDITIONAL PERMIT SALE AND CONSUMPTION OF <br />UNREGULATED PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCES ON PREMISES IN B-1 AND B-2 ZONING DISTRICTS. <br />Since every potential use cannot be contemplated or addressed by any singular zoning code, there <br />exists provisions, in this instance North Olmsted Codified Ordinance 1127 "Amendments", by which <br />the zoning code or the corresponding map may be amended. Amendments to zoning codes can take <br />many different forms. Council has passed legislation adding additional licensure requirements for <br />those who wish to operate a massage parlor (2022-97) as well as placing further restrictions on the <br />sale of e -cigarettes and vape products (2023-18). <br />The circumstance with which the legislation is proposed follows the same legislative path, with one <br />caveat, the establishments regulated by 2023-52 and 2023-54 were yet to be defined. <br />2 https:f/codes.ohio.gov/ohlo-mvised-code/section-713.07 <br />
