Council Minutes of 06-06-2023 <br />Cindy McGinty <br />24212 Elm Road <br />Ms. McGinty came before Council to inquire of the Mayor if text messages from the City are no longer <br />being sent. <br />Mayor Jones responded that the City is still sending out text messages, however, there were some <br />issues with the vendor for the past few weeks, and the messages should now be restored. The Mayor <br />also added that the website has continuous updates in case something should occur in the future and <br />one can always check the website for updates. <br />Ms. McGinty also stated that she is a member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and <br />wanted to state that she has been on the Advisory Board for some time, and asked to keep her and John <br />Moody in mind for future projects such as the Touch -A -Truck, that they are willing to volunteer with <br />those types of events. <br />Director Pinchek introduced himself to Ms. McGinty and asked to get Ms. McGinty's contact <br />information. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2023-57 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution approving the <br />award of a lob Creation Grant to R.E. Warner & Associates, Inc. and further authorizing the Mayor to <br />enter into a Grant Agreement; and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and <br />passed 5-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Limpert, Williamson, Madden, Hemann, Gilchrist <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2023-57 adopted 5-0. <br />Resolution 2023-58 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />acceptance of grant funding awarded by the Cuyahoga County Council in the amount of $35,000.00 to <br />provide for construction of improvements at Springvale Golf Course and Ballroom; further authorizing <br />the Mayor to enter into necessary agreements therefore, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilwoman Hemann moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and <br />passed 5-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Hemann, Limpert, Williamson, Madden, Gilchrist <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2023-58 adopted 5-0. <br />Ordinance 2023-59 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. An Ordinance amending <br />the rates of compensation for administrative personnel to add an Information Systems Specialist in the <br />Division of Police for the Year 2023; and otherwise restating the compensation rates and descriptions <br />
