Council Minutes of 06-20-2023 <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Williamson, Madden, Scarl, Gilchrist, Hemann, Glassburn, Limpert <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Madden and <br />passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Williamson, Madden, Scarl, Gilchrist, Limpert, Glassburn, Hemann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2023-82 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2023-84 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution extending the <br />moratorium enacted by Resolution 2022-100 for an additional 60 days, which resolution had declared a <br />six month moratorium on the issuance of Building, Zoning or Occupancy Permits for premises to be <br />occupied by and used, in total or in part, for the sale and consumption on site of Kava, Kratom, Delta 8 - <br />THC and / or Delta 9 -THC; and further temporarily prohibiting any such similar use permit, license, <br />variance or development plan approval for said facilities; and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal Committee <br />review. Resolution 2023-84 adopted 7-0. <br />Council President Brossard scheduled a Special Council Meeting on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 6:45 p.m. <br />to be held virtually via GoTOMeeting, to allow Ordinances 2023-68 and 2023-73 to have a third reading <br />before Council's recess. <br />Council President Brossard scheduled a Committee of the Whole Meeting to be held on <br />Tuesday August 8, 2023, to discuss Resolution 2023-78, at a time to be determined at a later <br />date. <br />
