Council Minutes of 08-01-2023 <br />• Councilman Scarl also asked for a moment to thank the Service Department and the W WTP for <br />their part in cleaning up after the storm. <br />None. <br />Gary Cammuso <br />6097 Stafford Drive <br />Came to thank Director Kearney and Councilwoman Gilchrist for their assistance in getting a tree cut- <br />down. He also wanted to ask Council if consideration has been given to speed tables, speed bumps, <br />etc., as he has seen an increase in speeding in his neighborhood. <br />Director Scofield advised Mr. Cammuso that the City has considered speed tables, humps and bumps <br />and is working with the new City Engineer to establish a policy to determine where they may install the <br />safety devices. She noted that it is a significant financial investment, prompting speed studies to be <br />conducted throughout the City. <br />Councilman Glassburn added that the items in question in Lakewood are called "speed tables", noting <br />those are in place in Lakewood as part of an experimental project, and are significantly more expensive <br />than other "traffic calming" devices, and the City is looking for more information from Lakewood on <br />how it is going for them. <br />Councilman Limpert also added that he is looking forward to Director Schofield's data so that the right <br />decision is made. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2023-52 was introduced by Mayor Jones and given its third reading. An Ordinance <br />Amending Section 1118.13 of the Planning and Zoning Code of the Codified Ordinances of the <br />City of North Olmsted entitled, "Offices and Services", in order to establish Subsection (F) to <br />limit the location of specified uses, as Amended. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and <br />passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Limpert, Williamson, Scarl, Madden, Hemann, Glassburn, Gilchrist <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2023-52 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2023-53 was introduced by Mayor Jones and Councilwoman Williamson and given its <br />third reading. An Ordinance establishing the definition of "Unregulated Psychoactive <br />Substances" in Section 1115.12 of the Planning and Zoning Code of the Codified Ordinances of <br />the City of North Olmsted entitled, "Definitions U -V,", for the purpose of adding definitions for <br />uses associated with the sale and consumption of same on business premises. <br />
