MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 17, 2023 <br />Present: Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, Limpert, Madden, Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau, H. R. Director, Economic <br />Director, Safety Director, Service Director, Recreation Director and guests. <br />Absent: Council President Brossard <br />Council President Pro Tempore called the meeting to order at 8:02 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of October 3, 2023 were approved as written. <br />The following nine pieces of legislation were considered for suspension of the rules. On second reading <br />Ordinances 2023-94, 2023-105, 2023-106, 2023-107, Resolution 2023-109, Ordinances 2023-110 and <br />2023-111, and on first reading, Resolutions 2023-113 and 2023-114. <br />Council President Pro Tempore Williamson reminded all that the next Council meeting will be on <br />Wednesday, November 8", due to the elections on Tuesday, November 7`^. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />• Mayor Jones advised Council that the North Olmsted Comprehensive Master Plan Visioning <br />Meeting will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., in the cafeteria of <br />North Olmsted High School, 27301 Butternut Ridge Road. All City Council members were <br />encouraged to attend this important meeting. <br />• Mayor Jones noted that she will be swearing in the newest police officer, Kyle Storm, and the <br />City's first female firefighter/paramedic, Jacqueline Krych, on October 18, 2023. <br />• There will be two North Olmsted Community Park Master Plan Renovation public meetings to <br />take place from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18`^ at the North Olmsted Community Cabin at <br />28114 Lorain Road. City Administration members and staff will be available to answer questions <br />in an open -house format. Renderings of park renovations will be on display for public input. <br />Possible improvements may include renovated ball fields/green space, restrooms, walking trails, <br />additional parking and a new performance area. Spruce Elementary School site plan <br />improvements will also be shared. The second in the series of meetings will be held from 7-8 <br />p.m. on Wednesday, October 25". <br />• City Hall will host Trick -or -Treating on October 25, 2023, from 11:30-1:30 p.m. for City Hall <br />employees and their families as well as members of the community. Departments will decorate <br />in the spirit of the Halloween season, and City Hall workers plan to dress in costume for the <br />
