Council Minutes of 11-21-2023 <br />Director Gareau stated that it was a legal vote and in accordance with the City Charter or code <br />requirements. <br />C. Wang <br />30858 Old Shore Drive <br />Mr. Wang came to Council to ask if the front lobby could be updated as it feels like a prison. He also <br />thought it would be a good idea to paint our curbs different colors. <br />Chris Kmiecik <br />23727 Elm Road <br />Ms. Kmiecik came to Council to voice objection to the cell phone tower. She stated that there were over <br />100 residents at the Community Center, letters in the newspaper, etc., from those who do not want a <br />cell tower at the park. She feels it is a health/safety issue. She asked that a Council Member repeal the <br />legislation in order to find a safer option. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2023-112 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Director of Economic and Community Development to make application on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted to the State of Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to participate in the "Safe <br />Routes to School' grant program; and further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant, if awarded, <br />and execute agreements therefore, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Madden and <br />passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Williamson, Madden, Gilchrist, Scad, Glassburn, Limpert, Hemann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2023-112 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2023-115 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to purchase concrete <br />materials and related supplies for the year 2024, as detailed in the specifications on file, and authorizing <br />the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best <br />bidder. <br />Councilman Madden moved for adoption.
