MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED JANUARY 9, 2024 Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hamann, Madden, Scarl and Shymske. Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones, Director of Finance Copfer, H. R. Director, Economic Director, Safety Director, Service Director, Recreation Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor, Clerk of Council and guests. Absent: Council Member Limpert Council President Brossard called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance Council President Brossard advised the Administration and those in attendance that an error was made on the January 3, 2024 Council Agenda. The Legislation introduced and read as Resolution 2023-155 should have been introduced and read as Resolution 2024-1, as the legislation was correctly designated. Councilman Glassburn moved to Amend the January 3, 2024 Agenda to reflect the correct designation of Resolution 2024-1. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed 6-0. Roll Call: Yes: Glassburn, Hamann, Gilchrist, Shymske, Madden, Scarl No: None Motion carried. The January 3, 2024 Agenda was amended by a vote of 6-0. LEGISLATION Resolution 2023-148 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor of City of North Olmsted to apply to The State of Ohio, Department of Development for grant funding for the South Equalization Basin Project and, if awarded, further authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement to accept the grant funds, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Scarl and passed 6-0. Roll Call: Yes: Glassburn, Scarl, Shymske, Madden, Hamann, Gilchrist No: None Motion carried. Resolution 2023-148 adopted 6-0.
