Council Minutes of 03-09-2024 <br />Resolution 2023-149 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Mayor to enter into a contract for the purchase of fifty (50) "Everyday Level III ICW Armor Plates" <br />from Dayton Armor, LLC. in the amount of $42,690.00 for the purpose of modernizing the bullet proof <br />vests utilized by Patrol and SWAT Officers within the Division of Police, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Scarl moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed <br />6-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Scarl, Hemann, Glassburn, Madden, Gilchrist, Shymske <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2023-149 adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2023-151 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Director of Public Safety to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from qualified individuals to <br />provide gu;'d*Ag G4eial-and Master Plans Examiner services to the City, and further authorizing the <br />Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the individual or firm <br />selected in the S.O. Q. process, and declaring an emergency, as Amended. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Scarl and passed <br />6-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Glassburn, Scarl, Shymske, Gilchrist, Madden, Hemann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2023-151 adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2023-154 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Director of Economic and Community Development to file an application to Cuyahoga County for <br />grant funding for Planning Services for the Mixed Use Overlay Zoning Amendment at Great Northern <br />Mall and, if awarded, further authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement to accept the grant <br />funds, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and <br />passed 6-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Glassburn, Hemann, Scarl, Gilchrist, Shymske, Madden <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2023-154 adopted 6-0. <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist moved to excuse the absence of Councilman Limpert. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Gilchrist, Hemann, Glassburn, Shymske, Madden, Scarl <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Councilman Limpert excused 6-0. <br />
