Council Minutes of 01-03-2024 <br />Roll Call <br />Yes: Glassburn, Scarl, Madden, Shymske <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2023-145 adopted 4-0. <br />Resolution 2023-148 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Mayor of City of North Olmsted to apply to The State of Ohio, Department of Development for grant <br />funding for the South Equalization Basin Project and, if awarded, further authorizing the Mayor to enter <br />into an agreement to accept the grant funds, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2023-149 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Mayor to enter into a contract for the purchase of fifty (50) "Everyday Level III ICW Armor Plates" <br />from Dayton Armor, LLC. in the amount of $42,690.00 for the purpose of modernizing the bullet proof <br />vests utilized by Patrol and SWAT Officers within the Division of Police, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2023-151 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Director of Public Safety to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from qualified individuals to <br />provide mal and Master Plans Examiner services to the City, and further authorizing the <br />Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the individual or firm <br />selected in the S.O. Q. process, and declaring an emergency, as Amended. <br />Resolution 2023-152 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution supporting <br />the Administration's Request for Appropriations from the State of Ohio, by and through the State's <br />Capital Budget, for the Old Town Hall Revitalization Project (Phase 1). <br />Resolution 2023-153 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution supporting <br />the Administration's Request for Appropriations from the State of Ohio, by and through the State's <br />Capital budget, for the construction of tennis and pickleball courts to be located near Springvale Golf <br />Course. <br />Resolution 2023-154 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Director of Economic and Community Development to file an application to Cuyahoga County for <br />grant funding for Planning Services for the Mixed Use Overlay Zoning Amendment at Great Northern <br />Mail and, if awarded, further authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement to accept the grant <br />funds, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2024-1 was introduced and placed on first reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Economic and Community Development to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from qualified <br />redevelopment firms to facilitate the redevelopment of the former Forest Elementary School property <br />site into single-family housing and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of <br />Control, to enter into a contract upon review and selection of S.O.Q.s. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Council President Brossard scheduled a Special Council Meeting for Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 7:00 <br />p.m. to allow Resolutions 2023-148, 2023-149, 2023-151 and 2023-154 to have their third readings in <br />order to meet deadlines. <br />
