35.06 EVT Certifications. Employees who are certified to maintain Emergency Vehicles <br />(EVT certification) will receive five hundred dollars ($600) as a certification incentive. <br />ARTICLE 36 WORK BY SUPERVISORS <br />36.01. Supervisors will not perforin bargaining unit work to the extent that results in lay- <br />off, a reduction in work force or reduction of hours of work by bargaining unit <br />employees. Except for emergencies, a supervisor will not perform bargaining unit tasks <br />outside of the Supervisor's normal working hours to deny overtime opportunities to <br />bargaining unit personnel <br />ARTICLE 37 "' DISCIPLDVE <br />37.01. Discialine/Tvpes of Action. The Employer may take disciplinary action against any <br />employee in the bargaining unit as provided herein and for just cause. Forms of disciplinary <br />action are: <br />1. Wratten/Verbal warning <br />2. Written reprimand <br />3. Suspension without pay (at the option of the employee, and with the concurrence of the <br />Employer, accrued vacation may be forfeited equal to the length of the suspension. <br />Record of suspension will be maintained) <br />4. Demotion <br />5. Discharge. <br />6. Suspension of record (Le., papedworking suspension). <br />An employee who is given a suspension of record (Le., paper/working suspension) shall be <br />required to report to work to serve the suspension and shall be compensated at applicable <br />wage for hours worked The working suspension shall be recorded in the employee's <br />personnel file in the same manner as other disciplinary actions having the same effect as a <br />suspension without pay for the purpose of recording disciplinary action. <br />37.02. Pre -disciplinary Conference. 6-93 In case of a suspension or discharge or a formalized <br />disciplinary meeting the employee shall have the right to have his Steward present and, upon <br />request, will be permitted to discuss his suspension or discharge with the Steward in an area <br />made available by the Employer before he is required to leave the premises. <br />Within Pmenty &w 94) forty-eight (48) hours of the date of a suspension or discharge, the <br />Employer shall deposit with the regular U.S. Mail, a certified letter to the involved employee <br />11 <br />eaac�saaeaao, , 2 <br />
