stating the reasons for disciplinary action taken, and shall hand deliver a copy of same to a Union <br />Officer or Steward. <br />ARTICLE 38 JOB DESCRIPTIONS <br />38.01. The Employer retains the right to change or modify employee job descriptions. In the <br />event the Employer changes or modifies an employee's job description, it shall notify the <br />employee of the change or modification and the reason therefore. <br />ARTICLE 39 &-43 UNIFORMS AND ALLOWANCES <br />43-9139.01. D The Employer shall designate the <br />appropriate work attire and for those jab classifications that it deems appropriate, provide <br />require uniforms or it may, it its discretion, provide the option of being provided a standard <br />uniform. Where uniforms are provided, the Employer shall provide eleven (11) shirts and pants <br />(long sleeve in winter months and short sleeve in summer months) to those employees. When <br />uniforms are an option, all employees that elect to receive uniforms shall wear such uniforms <br />during all working hours. Employees that have elected not to be provided uniforms may wear T <br />shirts or other reasonable attire in lieu of the uniform shirt, but such employee provided <br />alternative attire must be compliant with OSHA Approve Hi -Vis standards. <br />43,9339.02. Acknowledeement of Optional Uniform Arraneement. The Employer shall <br />provide a written Acknowledgment Form to each member of the bargaining unit. The employee <br />shall be required to immediately sign, date and note his choice to either be provided with a <br />uniform or reject acceptance of an Employer provided uniform for the duration of this agreement <br />and immediately return the form to his supervisor. <br />43$3 39.03. Uniform Standards. All personnel including those &Mleyeee that elected not <br />to be provided uniforms, shall be required to report ready for work in clothing that is neat, clean <br />and un -tattered. <br />3991 39.04. Clothin"oot Allowance. All bargaining unit employees shall receive a seven <br />eight hundred €* dollars ($W5& 800.00) annual clothing allowance. The aforementioned <br />clothing allowance shall be paid during the fust pay period after January 1 of each year covered <br />by the terms of this agreement. Such allowance shall be prorated in the first and final year of <br />employment. However, where an employee retires under PERS from City service, such <br />proration shall be waived in the final year. <br />39.02 39.05. Tool Allowance. All mechanics, lead mechanics, mechanic helpers, maintenance <br />mechanics and maintenance mechanic helpers shall receive a <br />one thousand dollar ($1,000) annual tool allowance. The aforementioned tool allowance shall be <br />paid during the first pay period after January 1 of each year covered by the terms of this <br />agreement.
