Article 39 & 43, Uniforms and Allowances <br />The parties combined language addressing uniforms, boots, and other allowances related to <br />equipment that were spread in separate articles previously. The parties added language to prorate <br />annual allowance payments for clothing, boots, and tools in the initial and final year of service. An <br />exception is made if an employee is retiring under PERS. The parties added language allowing for <br />the Employer to establish uniform standards and require that in situation where an employee elects <br />not to be provided a uniform that the utilized attire must still be OSHA Hi -Vis standards. The parties <br />agreed to increase the boot and clothing allowance by $50 ($750 to $800) and increase the mechanic <br />tool allowance from $700 to $1,000. <br />Article 41, Funeral Leave <br />The parties added language requiring that these benefits be taken in conjunction with the date of <br />services or death and allowing for documentation to be required. Titles were also added to reflect <br />content. <br />Article 48 Duration <br />The parties agreed to a new agreement, effective upon ratification, through December 31, 2026 <br />Side Letters <br />Grandfathered Vacation Schedule <br />The parties moved the grandfathered vacation schedule into a side letter so that it can simply be <br />removed once no employees are covered by the schedule. <br />Lateral Hire Credit for Current Personnel <br />The parties agreed to provide 4 employees with service credit for vacation at their next anniversary <br />date after the agreement has been ratified <br />Grandfathered CDL Comnensation <br />The parties eliminated an hourly CDL supplement for certain personnel during the previous contract <br />tern. However, even though not required members continued to participate and achieve CDL A <br />training during the prior contract term. For those members only hired after 1/1/2021 and before <br />12/31/2023, they will receive a $250 annual bonus for having the A licensure. <br />Removal of Good Fridav <br />The parties agreed to remove the half-day good Friday holiday, but such is contingent upon the same <br />action being taken for non -bargaining unit personnel. <br />4884-51964352, v.2 <br />
