Council Minutes of 02-06-2024 <br />of the negative health effects of living in near proximity of a cell tower, as well as explained charges <br />brought against the FCC. Ms. Denham concluded by stating the residents around the park have been <br />betrayed by the Administration and Council. <br />Steve Erhman <br />5680 Wellesley <br />Mr. Erhman came to Council to discuss the cell tower, and the code that allows the City to do "what it <br />wishes" with the park. He added that the City adding a cell tower will take away some of the property <br />value of the surrounding homes. He again asked why the tower could not be installed at Springvale, <br />noting there was only one house that would be effected, and to him, seems to be a better location for <br />the cell tower. He asked Council and the Administration to reconsider. <br />I*dF9VAI1-U: <br />Resolution 2024-1 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the <br />Director of Economic and Community Development to solicit Statements of qualifications (S.O.Q.) from <br />qualified redevelopment firms to facilitate the redevelopment of the former forest Elementary School <br />property site into single-family housing and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the <br />Board of Control, to enter into a contract upon review and selection of S.O.Q.s. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Glassburn and <br />passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Limpert, Glassburn, Hemann, Shymske, Gilchrist, Madden, Scarl <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2024-1 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2024-2 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide maintenance services for <br />the Recreation Center mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems, as detailed in the specifications on file, <br />and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the <br />lowest and best bidder. <br />Ordinance 2024-3 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance to make <br />appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year <br />ending December 31, 2024 and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2024-4 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution authorizing the <br />Administration to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from qualified professionals to serve as <br />the City's Arborist to enforce the provisions of Chapter 950, "Tree Preservation and Management"; and <br />further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a consulting <br />agreement with the professional selected in the S.O.C. process, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2024-5 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution authorizing the <br />Administration to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from qualified professionals to consult on <br />the development of a Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) Travel Plan, in partnership with the North Olmsted <br />
