MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FEBRUARY 20, 2024 Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, Limpert, Madden, Scarl and Shymske. Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance Copfer, H. R. Director, Safety Director, Service Director, Recreation Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor and guests. Council President Brossard called the meeting to order at 8:01 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance The Council Meeting Minutes of February 6, 2024 were approved as written. The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On second reading, Resolution 2024-7 and Resolution 2024-9. REPORTS Mayor Jones: • The next 2025 Comprehensive Plan Focus Group meeting will be held February 22, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the North Olmsted High School Eagle's Nest. The topic will be Economic Development and Land Use. • Mayor Jones reminded all of the fish fry dates at Springvale and noted that all cash tips go to the participating host organization. The dates are as follows: February 22 — North Olmsted High School After Prom March 1— I Wear Gray for Calvin; March 8 — Bretton Ridge Women's Club; March 15— North Olmsted Boys Soccer; and March 22 — North Olmsted Kiwanis Club. • The annual North Olmsted Mayor's Art Show, will begin with a reception on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at the historic Old Town Hall. The art show will be open to the community on March 14" and 15", from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 16", and Council was invited to attend. • The Mayors State of the City Address will be presented beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Springvale Ballroom. • The Economic Development Summit will take place on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Springvale Ballroom. This event will be presented in partnership with the North Olmsted Chamber of Commerce. • Lastly, the Mayor noted that garbage service will not be delayed due to President's Day.
