Council Minutes of 02-20-2024 <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• No Report. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• No Report. <br />Council President Brossard, Committee of the Whole: <br />The Committee of the Whole met on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 7:01 p.m. Present were <br />Councilmembers Glassburn, Hamann, Limpert, Madden, Gilchrist, Scarl and Shymske, Mayor Jones, Law <br />Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Human Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and <br />Community Development Upton, Safety Director Scofield, Service Director Kearney, Recreation and <br />Public Engagement Director Pinchek, Assistant Finance Director Sperling and the Special Assistant to the <br />Mayor Massarolo. <br />• Discussed Council's nomination to the Planning and Design Commission; Council voted <br />unanimously in favor of Paul Shymske. <br />• Also discussed was Council's nomination to the Landmarks Commission; Council voted <br />unanimously in favor of Mark Madden. <br />• Council discussed moving Councilwoman Hemann to the Environmental Control Committee as <br />the member, and moving Councilwoman Gilchrist to the Building, Zoning and Development <br />Committee as a member. Council voted unanimously in favor of the moves and the Committee <br />of the Whole ended at 7:05 p.m. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved to approve the appointment of Councilman Shymske to the Planning and <br />Design Commission for the unexpired term of 01-01-2022 through 12-31-2026; and Councilman Madden <br />to the Landmarks Commission for the term of 01-01-2024 through 12-31-2025. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Glassburn, Hemann, Limpert, Madden, Gilchrist, Scarl, Shymske <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved to approve moving Councilwoman Hemann to the Environmental Control <br />Committee as the member, and moving Councilwoman Gilchrist to the Building, Zoning and <br />Development Committee as a member. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed <br />7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Glassburn, Limpert, Gilchrist, Madden, Shymske, Scar[, Hemann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Limpert voted yes with comment noting he enjoyed having Ms. Hemann on his Committee <br />and hopes she continues to provide input going forward. <br />Councilman Limpert, Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee: <br />The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 8:36 p.m. <br />Present were Committee Members Umpert, Glassburn and Hemann and Council Members Scarl, <br />Madden, Gilchrist and Shymske, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance <br />Director Copfer, Human Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development <br />Upton, Safety Director Scofield, Service Director Kearney, Recreation and Public Engagement Director <br />Pinchek, Assistant Finance Director Sperling, Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo and guests. <br />
