MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 5, 2024 <br />Present: Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Limpert, Madden, Scarl and Shymske. <br />Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance Copfer, <br />H. R. Director, Economic Director, Safety Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor and <br />guests. <br />Absent: Council President Brossard, Councilwoman Hemann. <br />President Pro Tempore Glassburn called the meeting to order at 8:02 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of February 20, 2024 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On second reading, Resolution <br />2024-16 and Ordinance 2024-18. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />• The Mayor announced she is holding her second "State of the City' address on Thursday, March <br />7, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at Springvale Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public and all <br />Council members were invited. <br />• Mayor Jones noted there are three more Fish Frys left in this Lenten season at Springvale <br />Ballroom. The current week's host organization was the Bretton Ridge Women's Club. <br />• The Frostville Museum will host Sunday pancake breakfasts on March 10'^ and 17^'. <br />• Mayor Jones announced that Cuyahoga County Master Gardener Cookie Krizmanich will present <br />a free program on "seed starting" at 6:30 p.m. on March 12 at the North Olmsted branch of the <br />Cuyahoga County Public Library, sponsored by the North Olmsted Garden Club. <br />• Mayor Jones announced the Department of Recreation and Public Engagement will host the <br />Annual Easter Egg Scramble from on Saturday, March 23'" at 10:00 a.m. at North Olmsted <br />Community Park. Register until March 201h. <br />• The North Olmsted Kiwanis Club will host an adult Easter Egg Hunt from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the <br />Frostville Museum. <br />• The North Olmsted Kiwanis Club is sponsoring an "April Fools Run/Walk beginning at 9 a.m. <br />Sunday, April 7, 2024. <br />
