3, 81.19.06 AFSCME Care Plan. The Employer shall continue to participate in the American <br />Federation of State, County and Municipal employees Care Plan for all full-time employees in the <br />bargaining unit represented by the Union pursuant to 19.04, above. The Employer's obligation <br />shall be limited to making contributions at the rate ofeightyjour dollars and <br />twenty-five cents ($84.25) per month per employee for AFSCME Care Plan coverage for each <br />regular full-time employee, allocated as follows: Dental Level .34- $36.09 60.00;; Vision Level <br />213 - $32,98 $16.25; Hearing Aid - $.50; Life Insurance - $7.50 <br />ARTICLE 20 JURY, WITNESS PAY AND COURT PAY <br />20.01 An employee called for and serves jury duty shall be granted a leave of absence for the <br />period of jury service and will be compensated at full pay for absences necessarily caused by the <br />jury duty. The employee shall be entitled to retainjury pay received as reimbursement for expenses <br />incurred in performing jury duty. An employee who is required to be absent from scheduled work <br />to serve as a witness on an Employer related issue will be paid for time lost from scheduled straight <br />time work. An employee who is called as a witness due to his/her part-time employment in the <br />area of public law enforcement with the City of North Olmsted shall receive his/her regular rate of <br />pay from the Employer. <br />ARTICLE 21 SAFETY AND HEALTH <br />21.01. The Employer and the Union recognize that each party must comply with the applicable <br />state and federal laws with respect to safety and health. The Employer shall continue to make <br />reasonable provisions for the safety and health of its employees. <br />A. Required personal protective equipment shall be issued to regular full-time employees <br />and shall be replaced if the equipment is wom out and is returned to the Employer for <br />replacement. An employee who does not return the equipment will be charged for the <br />replacement cost, except in cases, <br />(1) In which the equipment was destroyed by accidental conditions beyond the <br />employee's control in the work area, or; <br />(2) If the equipment has been stolen and the Employer has failed to supply the <br />employee with a place to lock up his equipment. <br />B. A safety committee consisting of two (2) representatives from management and two (2) <br />safety representatives appointed by the local union may confer as necessary for the <br />purpose of attempting to maintain safe working conditions. <br />27.02. In the event an employee reasonably believes that a situation is unsafe, the employee shall <br />notify his supervisor immediately; the supervisor shall investigate the situation on the same day or <br />as soon as possible thereafter, and take such steps as are necessary to remedy the unsafe condition. <br />In the event the employee has notified his supervisor of the unsafe condition, the employee shall <br />4863-1214-9430, v.2 <br />
