All full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance hired between July 1st and December 31st of any given year <br />shall receive one and one-half (1%) personal days upon their date of hire. Personal days must be used before <br />the end of the year in which they were earned and are not eligible for sell back. Following the first year of <br />employment, these employees will earn their personal days on January 1st of each subsequent year. <br />Section 14: Vacation That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance shall be entitled to an annual <br />vacation in accordance with Section 161.11 of the Administrative Code (based on Ordinance 1990-161). All <br />previous service as an elected city public official within the city shall be considered full-time for the purpose of <br />calculating vacation and sick leave upon retirement. Sell back of earned vacation for cash limited to two (2) <br />weeks only. <br />Section 15: Boot and Clothing Allowance That the following full-time employees shall be reimbursed by the <br />City in an amount not to exceed $800 annually for the purchase or purchases of boots and clothing by such <br />employees for use in their employment with the City of North Olmsted: Road Foreman; Forestry Foreman; <br />Storm Foreman; Fleet Manager; Waste Water Treatment Plant Superintendent; Waste Water Treatment Plant <br />Assistant Superintendents (Plant, Collections and Maintenance); Waste Water Collection System Foreman; <br />Laboratory Chemist; and Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor. The aforementioned allowance shall be paid <br />during the first pay period after January 1st of each year. Such allowance shall be prorated in the first and final <br />year of employment. However, where an employee retires under PERS from City service, such proration shall <br />be waived in the final year. <br />Section 16: Commercial Drivers License (CDU That the following full-time employees who have a Class A <br />CDL and were hired prior to January 1, 2021, will receive an additional fifty-five cents per hour for all hours <br />worked: Road Foreman; Forestry Foreman; Storm Foreman; Fleet Manager; and Collection System Foreman. <br />Section 17: Electronic Deposit All forms of compensation shall be paid by electronic deposit to commence <br />at the City's convenience, but not less than thirty (30) days after adoption of this ordinance. If it is determined <br />that an employee is not bankable, a check will be issued for all forms of compensation for such employee. <br />Section 18: That all Ordinances or Resolutions or parts of Ordinances or Resolutions in conflict herewith are <br />hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 19: That this Ordinance shall hereby be declared an emergency measure immediately necessary for <br />the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members of Council then it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: It <br />ATTEST: <br />d <br />Beatrice Taylor, Cledkouncil <br />AP ROVED s Michael R.
