Section 10: That all pay ranges and amounts established will be effective no earlier than January let of the <br />respective year. Salaries specified in this Ordinance shall be paid by the Director of Finance on a biweekly <br />basis. <br />Section 11: Fair Labor Standards Act 1"FLSA"I/Compensatory ("Como") Time That, upon approval of the <br />Mayor or respective Director, all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance, except for those holding Elected <br />or Director positions, the Police Chief, Police Captain, Fire Chief, and personnel determined by the City to be <br />exempt from the overtime provisions of the "FLSA", will be paid time and one-half their straight time rates of pay <br />for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one work week, unless the Mayor or their respective Director <br />has established and implemented a comp time policy for such personnel that is not in conflict with either the <br />FLSA or Section 161.13 of the Administrative Code. Double time, or comp time if applicable, shall be paid to <br />said personnel for Holidays provided they have worked at least forty (40) hours in the said work week. <br />Section 12: Lon evi (a) That, except as provided in paragraph (c) below, all full-time personnel listed within <br />this Ordinance who were hired by the City prior to January 1, 2005, having completed five (5) years of full-time <br />service as an employee of the City shall be paid an additional four percent (4%) of their base annual salary <br />thereafter as longevity increments until completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time service; after completion <br />of their tenth (10th) year of full-time service, such personnel shall receive five percent (5%) of their base annual <br />salary thereafter as longevity increments until completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time service; after <br />completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time service, such personnel shall receive six percent (6%) of their <br />base annual salary thereafter as longevity increments until completion of their twentieth (20th) year of full-time <br />service; and after completion of their twentieth (20th) year of full-time service, such personnel shall receive <br />seven percent (7%) of their base annual salary thereafter as longevity increments for so long as they continue to <br />be full-time employees of the City. <br />(b) Effective January 1, 2009, except as provided in paragraph (c) below, all full-time personnel listed within this <br />Ordinance, having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service and are being compensated longevity <br />under the percent of base pay as of January 1, 2009, shall continue to receive the fixed amount on the base rate <br />of pay on January 1, 2009, until such time as the table below provides a greater benefit, then the table will <br />control. <br />All full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service <br />as an employee of the City after January 1, 2009, shall be paid an additional five hundred dollars ($500.00) as <br />annual longevity increments thereafter until completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time service; after <br />completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time continuous service, such personnel shall receive one thousand <br />dollars ($1,000.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter until completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full- <br />time continuous service; after completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time continous service, such <br />personnel shall receive one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter <br />until completion of their twentieth (201h) year of full-time continuous service; after completion of their twentieth <br />(201h) year of full-time continous service, such personnel shall receive two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) as <br />annual longevity increments until completion of their twenty-fifth (25th) year of full-time continuous service; after <br />completion of their twenty-fifth (25th) year of full-time continous service, such personnel shall receive two <br />thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter for so long as they continue <br />to be full-time employees of the City. <br />(c) Full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance hired after April 30, 2008 shall not be entitled to receive <br />longevity pay under either paragraph (a) or (b) above. Full-time elected officials shall not be entified to receive <br />longevity pay under either paragraph (a) or (b) above for terms of office that begin on the 1 at day of January <br />2010, or thereafter. <br />Section 13: Holidays and Personal Days That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance shall receive <br />the following holidays off, unless required to work by their supervisor or the Mayor in emergencies, and shall <br />receive their regular rate of pay: New Years Day; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; Presidents' Day; Memorial Day; <br />Juneteenth; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; the day after Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Eve <br />Day; Christmas Day; and New Years Eve Day. Employees hired between January 1st and June 30th of any <br />given year shall receive three (3) personal days upon their date of hire. <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />
