Any employee assigned as the <br />Acting Chief of Police in the Chief s absence, and in the absence of the Captain, shall be paid <br />Captain's pay. <br />607 7.04. Call Back. An employee who is ordered or called out to report in person for duty <br />within one and one-half (1 I/2) hours of completion of a normally scheduled shift shall have the <br />time between the end of the shift and the start of such duty counted as time worked toward the <br />minimum established overtime pay. <br />6.99 7.05. Reporting Par/Cancelled Call -In. Any member of the bargaining unit who is ordered <br />to duty but subsequently released prior to reporting shall receive pay for one (l) hour. <br />ARTICLES <br />COMPENSA TORY TMEISCHEDULING TIME OFF <br />6-W8.01. Compensatory Time/Accumulation. In lieu ofreceiving overtimepay, each employee <br />shall have the right to convert overtime hours into compensatory time with the approval of the <br />Police Chief or his designee OM 0 d8liff &F dallff basis at the rate of one and one-half (1 112) <br />hours of compensatory time for each overtime hour worked. Employees shall be paid for all <br />compensatory time accumulated in excess of four hundred eighty hours (480) on the next <br />scheduled pay. As part of the consolidation of the former OT bank, any employee having less <br />than four hundred eighty (480) hours as of the date of rahfication of this agreement may elect <br />to move those hours into his or her compensatory time bank, up to thefour hundred eighty (480) <br />maximum. Time above that amount shall be paid out as soon as practicable following <br />ratification of the Agreement. <br />8.02. Compensatory Time UselScheduline. Employees may have the right to take compensatory <br />time when the time off does not interfere with the operation of the Police Department. The taking <br />off of such compensatory time shall be subject to the approval of the Police Chief or his designee. <br />de4la�feedeHmkesig (Note: Moved to 7:01) Compensatory time shall be taken in a one (1) hour <br />minimum block and thereafter in one-half (1/2) hour increments, except at the start or end of a <br />shift. Half (1/2) hour increments may be used at the start or end of the shift (Relocated from <br />below) Compensatory time off shall not be denied due to overtime costs to the Employer. <br />Employees shall allow at least forty-eight (48) hours notice, except in an emergency situation, with <br />regard to taking compensatory time off. The Employer, at its discretion, may waive the foHy- <br />eight (48) hour notice requirement. The Employer shall attempt and malke swfy 0414 to find a <br />replacement, if need on shift, for use of the employee's compensatory time before the employee is <br />asked to find his/her replacement for his/her hours of work.
