Council Minutes of 06-18-24 30 <br />Resolution 2024-69 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution approving <br />of and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Fraternal Order <br />of Police, Ohio Labor Council, Inc. for Patrolman, Sergeants and Lieutenant employees within the City s <br />Division of Police for the period January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance 2024-70 was introduced by All of Council, placed on first reading and suspension of the rules <br />requested. An Ordinance to revise the Codified Ordinances by adopting current replacement pages; and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee <br />review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Glassburn, Limpert, Madden, Scarl, Shymske, Gilchrist, Hemann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. Ordinance 2024-70 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2024-71 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Director of Economic and Community Development to solicit Statements of Qualifications from <br />marketing firms to provide promotional strategy and materials for the purpose of local business <br />retention and development, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2024-72 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Mayor to make an application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted to participate in the Ohio <br />Public Works Commission State Capital Improvement and/or Local Transportation Improvement <br />Programs; further authorizing the Mayor to accept funds, if awarded, and to execute a contract as <br />required; and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2024-73 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance <br />establishing the definition of "Vape Shop" in Section 1115.12 of the Planning and Zoning Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled, "Definitions U -V", for the purpose of adding <br />definitions for uses associated with retail sales by vape shops. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Council President Brossard scheduled a virtual Special Council Meeting to be held on Thursday, lune 27, <br />2024, at 7:00 p.m. via GoToMeeting, to allow Resolution 2024-61, Ordinance 2024-64, Resolution 2024- <br />65, Ordinance 2024-67, Resolution 2024-68 and Resolution 2024-69 to have a vote before City Council's <br />July recess. <br />
