Council Minutes of 06-18-24 <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Glassburn, Limpert, Hemann, Shymske, Gilchrist, Scarl, Madden <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2024-63 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2024-64 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. An Ordinance approving <br />and adopting the 2024 North Olmsted Parks Improvement Plan, and declaring an emergency, as <br />Amended. <br />Resolution 2024-65 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a construction services contract to provide site <br />improvements, including recreation, concession and parking facilities, at the North Olmsted Community <br />Park, as detailed in the specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board <br />of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. <br />Ordinance 2024-66 was introduced by Mayor Jones, placed on first reading, and suspension of the rules <br />requested. An Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2024 and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee <br />review. Ordinance 2024-66 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2024-67 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance declaring <br />an additional forty- five (45) day moratorium, thereby extending the moratorium approved by <br />Ordinance 2024-11, restricting the issuance of any permits, zoning or otherwise, to any business <br />operating as a thrift store in order to allow for such a retail use to be properly defined in Section 1115 of <br />the Zoning Code and added to the Use Table in Chapter 1139 of the Business Code and otherwise <br />regulated in the City of North Olmsted; and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2024-68 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement to apply for a grant from the Ohio Department of <br />Natural Resources (ODNR) in the amount of $150,000.00 for the purpose of acquiring playground <br />equipment at the North Olmsted City Parks and, if awarded, further authorizing the Mayor to accept the <br />award, and declaring an emergency. <br />
