I am expecting <br />the Oversight Committee will be engaged in not only project oversight but also the same <br />consideration afforded residents surrounding other project locations, and the Committee <br />Meeting concluded at 7:31 p.m. <br />• Lastly, Councilwoman Hemann provided an update from the Recreation Commission. <br />Councilwoman Hemann reported the Recreation Commission met on Thursday, June 13, 2024, <br />at 5:00 p.m., to discuss the 2024 North Olmsted Parks Project. Councilwoman Hemann reported <br />that Director Pinchek addressed the Commission regarding the Parks Plan and the Commission's <br />response was very favorable, particularly with the new features being added. Chairperson Kyle <br />Wapshot made a motion to approve and recommend the project, the motion passed <br />unanimously, and the Commission concluded at 5:45 p.m. <br />Councilman Glassburn, Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 7:31 p.m. Present were Committee Members <br />Glassburn, Limpert and Scarl and Council Members Hemann, Madden, Gilchrist and Shymske, Council <br />President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Human Resources <br />Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development Upton, Safety Director Scofield, <br />Service Director Kearney, Recreation and Public Engagement Director Pinchek, Special Assistant to the <br />Mayor Massarolo and guests. <br />• Discussed Resolution 2024-60. A Resolution adopting the Alternative Tax Budget of the City of <br />North Olmsted for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2025, and submitting the same to the <br />Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer and its Budget Commission, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Glassburn reported this budget is sent to the County Auditor as required, to allow <br />them to collect property taxes for 2025. The legislation was favorably recommended 3-0 with <br />suspension. <br />• Also discussed Resolution 2024-63. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a renewal <br />agreement with McCauley & Company, LLC, to provide grant writing and consulting services for <br />the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Glassbum reported that <br />legislation is to exercise a renewal option to retain our successful lobbying and grant firm, to <br />assist North Olmsted with the numerous grants the City has received. There was a suggestion <br />to try to change the renewal period to not coincide with government budgeting periods. The <br />legislation was favorably recommended 3-0, and the Committee Meeting concluded at 7:51 p.m. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved to remove Ordinance 2024-58 from the Agenda.
