Council Minutes of 07-11-24 Roll Call: Yes: Hemann, Scad, Gilchrist, Shymske No: Limpert, Glassburn, Madden Motion carried. Ordinance 2024-64 amended Exhibit A, by a vote of 4-3. • Also discussed Resolution 2024-65. A Resolution authorizing the City Engineer to advertise for the bids for the award of a construction services contract to provide site improvements, including recreation, concession and parking facilities, at the North Olmsted Community Park, as detailed in the specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Councilwoman Hemann reported that Director Pinchek explained that this legislation is for the purpose of putting out to bid the construction of the concession/restroom building, and the parking lot facilities for the 2024 parks project. This is required to be put out to bid because it is not part of the engineering services provided by Chagrin Valley Engineering and Mr. Filarski. These are actual construction services and asphalt/paving parking areas. The legislation was favorably recommended 3-0, and the Committee Meeting concluded at 5:27 p.m. Council President Pro -Tempore informed those present, who may wish to speak when prompted, to use the raise hand feature, contact the Clerk via the chat feature, or to simp y speak up if on the phone. LEGISLATION Resolution 2024-65 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. Ordinance 2024-64 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. An Ordinance approving and adopting the 2024 North Olmsted Parks Improvement Plan, and declaring an emergency, as Amended. Councilwoman Hemann moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Scarl and passed 7-0.
