MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />AUGUST 6, 2024 <br />Council President Brossard: <br />The council meeting of August 6, 2024 will now please come to order at 7:34 p.m. The <br />audience is invited to join council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />All: <br />I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which <br />it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. <br />Roll Call <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Will the Clerk please call the Roll? <br />Council Clerk: <br />Mr. Brossard: Present <br />Ms. Gilchrist: Here <br />Mr. Glassburn: Here <br />Ms. Hemann: Here <br />Mr. Limpert: Present <br />Mr. Madden: Here <br />Mr. Scarl: Present <br />Mr. Shymske: Here <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Thank you. If there are no additions or corrections, the Council Meeting minutes of June 18, <br />2024, the Public Hearing minutes of lune 25, 2024, and the Special Council Meeting minutes <br />of June 27, 2024 and July 11, 2024 are approved as written. The following legislation is being <br />considered for suspension of the rules this evening. <br />On second reading, Ordinance 2024-67, and on first reading, Resolution 2024-82. Moving <br />into reports, Mayor Dailey lanes, do you have a report this evening? <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />I do, Mr. President. Thank you. Welcome back, council, from your brief summer recess. It's <br />nice to see all of you. <br />As you are all very aware, we weathered a terrible storm today in North Olmsted. <br />There are still a number of live power lines and trees that are down, that are <br />blocking roadways and causing a lot of problems for our homeowners, including, I <br />know, some on council. Our service department was called back in, so they are out <br />there working right now to help clear roadways and help with the downed power <br />lines working with First Energy. A number of our residents do not have power, and <br />
