MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AUGUST 6, 2024 Council President Brossard: The council meeting of August 6, 2024 will now please come to order at 7:34 p.m. The audience is invited to join council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. All: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. If there are no additions or corrections, the Council Meeting minutes of June 18, 2024, the Public Hearing minutes of lune 25, 2024, and the Special Council Meeting minutes of June 27, 2024 and July 11, 2024 are approved as written. The following legislation is being considered for suspension of the rules this evening. On second reading, Ordinance 2024-67, and on first reading, Resolution 2024-82. Moving into reports, Mayor Dailey lanes, do you have a report this evening? REPORTS Mayor Jones: I do, Mr. President. Thank you. Welcome back, council, from your brief summer recess. It's nice to see all of you. As you are all very aware, we weathered a terrible storm today in North Olmsted. There are still a number of live power lines and trees that are down, that are blocking roadways and causing a lot of problems for our homeowners, including, I know, some on council. Our service department was called back in, so they are out there working right now to help clear roadways and help with the downed power lines working with First Energy. A number of our residents do not have power, and
