MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED SEPTEMBER 3, 2024 Council President Brossard: The Council Meeting of September 3, 2024, will now please come to order at 7:30 p.m. The audience is invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. All: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Council Clerk: Mr. Brossard: Present Ms. Gilchrist: Here Mr. Glassburn: Here Ms. Hemann: Here Mr. Limpert: Present Mr. Madden: [absent] Mr. Scarl: Present Mr. Shymske: Here ANNOUNCEMENTS Council President Brossard: If there are no additions or corrections the Council Meeting minutes of August 20, 2024, are approved as written. The following legislation is being considered for suspension of the rules this evening, on second reading, Resolution 2024-90. Moving into reports, Mayor Dailey Jones do you have a report this evening? REPORTS Mayor Jones: I do, Mr. President. Thank you. Good Evening Members of Council. • Next Wednesday, September 11th at 9:45 a.m. at Fire Station 1, is our annual North Olmsted Safety Forces 9-11 Memorial Service. We'd like to invite all of Council to attend if you are able. In addition, later on that day, on Wednesday, September 11th at 2:00 p.m., our City will be participating in a groundbreaking ceremony on a new development project on the Industrial Parkway in North Olmsted. This project is expected to create 100 jobs and over $3 million in new payroll. The project features 100,000 square feet of spec commercial industrial space to be completed in two phases. Phase one at 65,000 square feet will be the largest commercial industrial building in the City of North Olmsted. All members of Council are invited to attend.
